Official: Foreign states arrest 78 jets of Russian airlines
MOSCOW, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- Russian airlines have lost 78 jets due to arrests by the foreign authorities, Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev said on Tuesday.
"There were 1,367 aircraft in the country, owned by 111 airlines… We lost 78 aircraft, they were arrested during flights," the official said.
The airlines have changed registration of almost 800 aircraft to Russia, he said.
Some elements of the Russian 2030 transport strategy can be changed, but the strategy remains viable, Savelyev said separately. "Some plans… can be postponed due to the situation," he said.
